Storyline
In a touch of destiny, Yusuf's uncle connivingly fixes her marriage with Nawab Sikandar Mirza, however she expects it is with Yusuf. At the point when she finds reality, it is the day of marriage. Dressed as a lady of the hour she goes to the nearby sanctum expecting to meet Yusuf there, as it's Thursday. But since Yousuf is away, he never appears and Zeenat swoons. On the opposite side the wedding function has started without her, as everybody trusts that Lady (according to the custom of that time) is in her carriage in the background, and her quiet is comparable to saying "I Do". At Nawab Sikander Mirza's Haveli, the 'doli' comes unfilled. Obscure to him concerning what occurred, he and his sister Suraiya conceal the way that Bahu Begum isn't in that frame of mind, rather declare that she is sick, and in this way nobody can meet her.
Zeenat awakens at the place of worship past 12 PM and gets back however her shamed and incensed father requests that she leave. She then, at that point, goes to Yusuf's home to look for cover, not realizing that he is away, and is told by his maternal Uncle, Mir Qurbani Ali, that Yusuf doesn't cherish her and has moved to Allahabad for a couple of months. She then, at that point, goes to her parents in law however can't talk unreservedly with her 'better half' as he is furious and occupied. Crushed she takes off from that point to return to the close by dargah (Sufi hallowed place), however excursions and falls before a pony carriage being ridden by a mistress, getting back from her late night capability. Zeenat awakens at the home of the prostitute, Nazeeran Bai, who had saved her from the street.
Her hardship has taken her to a Kotha (off color house). Her dad and assumed spouse, in the mean time, are concealing reality and imagining everything is great to keep their honor. Yet, from there on predetermination carries her to that place just which should be her parents in law's home, i.e., the home of Sikandar Mirza. She is sent there to sit in as "brief spouse" to work with the marriage of her sister by marriage Suraiya. At the point when Zeenat shows up, Sikandar Mirza who alongside his sister Suraiya is wonderfully amazed to see that the genuine lady or the Bahu Begum has at last come to her objective. Her appearance is an extraordinary murmur of help for themselves and presently they wonderfully show the Bahu Begum to the outcasts (females simply because of the practice of Muslim women's excess behind the shroud within the sight of the guys not having a place with them).
In any case, Zeenat lets Sikandar Mirza know that when the wedding service (Nikah) was being performed by the Qaazi (Muslim minister), she was absent at the spot in the background and she had not given her assent for the marriage according to the custom of the Nikaah and in this way, she isn't his significant other according to the law and the religion. Anyway she adds that she won't ever leave him, since his distinction as well as the distinction of his family is excessively significant for her to make any such stride, and she will stay the Bahu Begum of the family until the end of her life.
Sikandar, being an intensive man of honor and a decent individual, is content with this little comfort as well, and doesn't force himself upon her as a spouse. Suraiya is offered under the stewardship of her Bhaabhi, i.e., Zeenat, the exceptionally regarded Bahu Begum of the house. In any case, the story gets one more turn when Yusuf gets back from outstation and discovers that he has turned into a survivor of his maternal uncle's trick against him. Profoundly hurt to realize that his darling has been hitched to someone else yet not ready to embrace the situation, he moves toward Zeenat at the place of Sikandar Mirza. Zeenat lets him know that however her marriage was not completely executed and in this way she is unmarried, legally speaking and the religion, yet he ought to fail to remember her as she won't ever think twice about the distinction of Sikandar for her own pleasure. Their discussions are heard by Sikandar and afterward he makes an extraordinary penance (by setting his manor ablaze and kicking the bucket in it while making it seem to be that Zeenat passed on in it too) to join the sweethearts and guarantee that they live cheerfully together without the world's knowing reality.
