Saathi is a 1968 sentiment movie composed and coordinated by C. V. Sridhar. The film stars Rajendra Kumar and Vyjayanthimala, with Simi Garewal, Pahari Sanyal, David Abraham Cheulkar, Veena and Slam Mohan as the group cast while noticeable entertainers like Shashi Kapoor, Nanda, Sanjeev Kumar, Shabnam, D.K. Sapru and Pratima Devi made visitor appearances. The film was delivered by S. Krishnamurthy and T. Govindarajan of Venus Pictures. The film's score was made by Naushad with verses given by Majrooh Sultanpuri. It was altered by N. M. Shankar and shot by Marcus Bartley.
Saathi is a three-sided romantic tale among Ravi, Shanti and Rajni. The movie was a change of the 1961 Tamil movie Palum Pazhamum, which was coordinated by A. Bhimsingh
Storyline
Dr. Ravi gets back from abroad and takes up a situation as boss specialist in an emergency clinic. He meets with Medical attendant Shanti, who carries on with a devastated way of life with her weak mother, on whom he chooses to carry out procedure, yet she dies. A responsibility ridden Ravi weds Shanti much to the embarrassment of his tutor, Kaka, who had trusted that he would wed his little girl, Rajni.
The couple travel to Kashmir for their vacation, and settle down to an amicable relationship. Expecting to travel more, their arrangements are interfered with by the medical clinic's head specialist, who maintains that Ravi should zero in on disease research. The couple drop their itinerary items and submerge themselves in research to such an extent that Shanti turns out to be sick, and not having any desire to turn into a weight, leaves. A hysterical Ravi looks everywhere to no end, and is therefore crushed to discover that she has died in a train mishap. Kaka then, at that point, turns out to be extremely sick and Kaki lets Ravi know that the reason for his ailment is Rajni's demand that she not wed anybody with the exception of Ravi. Thus, Ravi weds her yet can't quit thinking about Shanti. An upset Rajni feels disregarded and chooses to defy him, bringing about his horrible his vision, maybe at no point ever to find in the future, and unfit to do any further malignant growth research.
