Storyline

Saraswatichandra recounts the narrative of a youthful blue-blood, Saraswatichandra, whose marriage has been fixed with Kumud (Nutan), an informed young lady from a rich family. Saraswati chooses to drop the commitment and keeps in touch with Kumud to illuminate her. In any case, she answers and the two keep trading letters. Saraswati chooses to oppose customs and visits his life partner. A brief sentiment follows. Saraswati gets back in the wake of promising Kumud and her family that he will return for her. In any case, a family fight happens and Saraswati keeps in touch with Kumud that he will not ready to wed her. This triggers a progression of misconceptions, winding up in Kumud's union with a rich however uneducated admirer named Pramad (Ramesh Deo). When she joins her better half at his castle, he rapidly despises her for nautch young ladies, and scarcely conceals his twofold life, asking her not to remark on his "shortcoming".

In the interim, Saraswati, having spurned his home, has been meandering the nation, and arrives at Pramad's house. His presence is spread the word for Kumud's father by marriage, who detests his child's modest life, and takes on the accomplished Saraswati as his secretary. The two previous darlings meet, however Kumud is resolved to play out the obligations of a loyal spouse. Saraswati observes her anguished life and attempts to connect with her, yet she protests. In any case, things change, in light of the fact that Pramad's way of behaving develops all the more straightforwardly coy. Kumud demands Saraswatichandra to avoid her own life and requests that he take off from her parents in law's home. Not entirely set in stone to take the necessary steps to make her life simpler, Saraswati chooses to leave Kumud's life. On his way he is gotten by dacoits and left for dead in the sun. A gathering of sacred men spot him and remove him to their seclusion where he begins having the existence of a loner.

Things obscure for Kumud. She's pursued away from Pramad's house after he finds one of Saraswati's letters. This gives Pramad the guise he's been searching for: she should return to her mom's home. Kumud's noble mentality has procured her the kinship of ladies in her parents in law's family, and they uncover to Pramad's folks that he has driven his significant other without regard for anyone else. Pramad is tossed out of his home and he promises never to return. In the wake of going out, an unsettled Kumud attempts to suffocate in the stream yet is recovered by a few blessed ladies on the banks. They take her to a similar sanctuary where Saraswati is attempting to offer reparations for his wrongdoings.

The two sweethearts meet for once again. Kumud submits to her destiny and acknowledges the senior sister's recommendation that she should work on something for Saraswati. The last option, then again, has a mission to satisfy: let by the master know that Pramad is dead, he should tell Kumud. A (exceptionally static) meeting is coordinated: in the wake of having understood that their destiny has again united them, they concede that they are made for one another, and love blooms between them. Yet, Kumud doesn't have the foggiest idea about she's a widow, nevertheless clings to the expectation that she could change her better half.

At the point when Saraswati hesitantly tells her, he faces another Kumud, who should now embrace the widow's status. The film closes with Saraswati tolerating Kumud's solicitation of wedding her more youthful sister, Kusum.
