The film starts with Ramesh (Satisfaction Mukherjee) going to a party on a boat. There, a well off young lady named Shefali (Urvashi Dutta) pronounces her affection for him, and upon his dismissal, she experiences a man named Mr. Madan Chicago wala (Madan Puri) who is a man of filthy person. However, she dismisses his advances. Teacher Brij Mohan Agnihotri (I. S. Johar) is an affirmed single guy, and he immovably won't get hitched. Ramesh is his understudy, who thinks of him as his coach. On a visit to his companion away, Brij meets his companion's delightful little girl, Poonam (Saira Banu), and goes gaga for her. Tossing all watchfulness to the breezes, he changes his appearance, and endeavors to vanquish Poonam, however he later observes that Poonam is drawn to his understudy, Ramesh, who met her on a significant work environment. The teacher chooses to switch his and his understudies' jobs and made him his brief coach. He gets illustrations from Ramesh and figures out how to dazzle Poonam, yet she just thinks about the teacher as her uncle. In the mean time, Poonam and Ramesh fall head over heels for one another and Ramesh acquaints her with his mom (Achala Sachdev) and his business inclined father (Nazir Hussain) and the two of them acknowledge her. Afterward, Madan makes a desirous Shefali pregnant and outlines Ramesh for this deed. To save a lady in trouble and to safeguard his dad's honor, Ramesh drops his marriage with Poonam, no doubt stirring up a lot of shock for his folks. On her big day with Ramesh, Shefali gets a call from Madan, taking steps to come clean with Ramesh on the off chance that she would not come to his home on last time. Not entirely settled to kill Madan, sets out for his home, with Poonam following right after her. Poonam figures out Madan's mystery when he shoots Shefali. Madan follows Poonam till the patio and is going to push her down, when Ramesh comes to save her. After a horrendous battle, Madan winds up dead and Ramesh gets his cherished Poonam and his entire family back.
