TOTAL FILMI

Do movies and songs get more enticing with the passage of time?क्या फ़िल्में और गीत समय बीतने के साथ और मन मोहक होते चले जाते हैं?

Movies and songs become more and more attractive with the passage of time. The intoxication of songs goes on getting deeper like the forgiveness of old alcohol. The hypnosis of films goes on increasing with time. Old movies and songs hold the status of 'champagne' in the Indian environment. One such champagne was made in 1985. The name of the movie is 'Arjun'. Made in the eighties, the film is known for its natural action and music by Rahul Dev Burman. Before doing this film, Sunny Deol had got the tag of 'Non Actor Star' after giving three consecutive flop films Sunny, Manzil Manzil and Sohni Mahiwal.

Arjun Malvankar from the poor section of Mumbai is unemployed. Where one goes for a job, that job is available to others through recommendation. Anger starts growing in the mind. One day, when he returns after giving an interview, he gets into a fight with goons doing extortion in front of him. On that day 'Arjun' is born in Mumbai. It was a simple story, made classic by Rahul Rawail's sharp direction and Rahul Da's music. India of that era used to be like this only. The youth was trapped in the cycle of unemployment and illiteracy. The basis of Arjun's success was the same as that of Amitabh Bachchan's 'Zanjeer'. Troubled by the disorder, the youth's fists rain on the back of the system and the youth sitting in the theater connects the strings of the mind with it.

The youth would see their own story in this. There are some parts in every film that decide its success or failure. Arjun has the 'tees golden minutes' that made the film such a huge success and even today those special minutes feel as fresh as ever. Arjun washes away the goons with his companions and the police arrive. Both the parties run away. Arjun and his friends are lounging on the benches of a stadium. Meanwhile, the goons come to fight again. Rahul da's evergreen song enters the fight this time. The situation of 'Duniya manne bad toh goli maaro, mar ke jeena hai koi jeena yaaron' was kept very strong. This song became the basis of the film's success during that period. They have kept the golden thirty minute film alive till date. Remove that first fight and song from Arjun. Then nothing would have been left in the film, nor would Sunny Deol's career have improved.

Arjun Malvankar became very popular in the eighties. Seeing his anger, young viewers used to take inspiration to fight the system. Taking inspiration does not mean that he used to fight with the goons by taking the rod. The film's background became such a hit that it was repeated in at least twenty-five films. This background was also created by RD. Arjun is the masterpiece of Rahul Rawail's career. Although before this he had made blockbuster 'Love Story', but today he is remembered more for Arjun. Friends who have not seen this film, must watch it when you get time. Just leaving the song link for you.
