Is cinema really a mirror of society?? No if I give the exact answer!! Both the kind of people who watch cinema and make it come from one or the other section of the society, although there can be difference in their upbringing, environment, living conditions or there is mostly one. In 90% of the cases, people making films are from upper class, rich, educated, background and obviously the number of such people is less! On the other hand people watching cinema may be educated but their class is not as high profile as the so called upper class. People who watch cinema are more than middle-class families, who live in struggle from birth till death, there is some struggle in every moment of their life, as if their troubles are their shadow. But somewhere in their respective stories all of them are their own heroes. And this is the real formula of most Indian movies (Indian movies not Bollywood-Tollywood). Cinema makers in India want to make such films which are mass entertainers because most of the people watch and like such films. More people means more money!! And its fixed formula is a hero who looks like a common man, his problems, his struggles, a villain, a heroine, dance-able songs,

 goons flying in the air with one punch of the hero, flying cars, a funny character , Happy ending... what more do you want?? Are people happy seeing all this?? Yes because all this does not happen in reality!! And people like those things more which are in imagination or in other words, people do not like reality. Is it easy for a lover whose girlfriend has got married to someone else, keeps falling down on the streets all day after drinking alcohol?? There are responsibilities, career, family too!! But if all this is seen in the film, then one gets peace, isn't it?? Who doesn't want to beat up the bad guys?? Who would not want to save the earth from aliens from other planets?? Who wouldn't want to travel in time?? Flirting in expensive cars can also be a wish hidden in the mind 🤣 But can all this happen in reality?? No!! And it is this frustration that is pacified through films, even if the facts have to be twisted here and there. Even if it is a historical film like RRR!! In this film, 

the characters of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem are the precious heritage of history and the lessons of the present, but they never met in reality. They are shown dancing in the film 🤣 Still the film was not boycotted!! Why?? Because the general public believes that if you oppose someone blindly and support blindly. If South has made a film then it would be good and if Bollywood has made it then it must have made fun of religion, history must have been tampered with!! So understand?? Films are not the mirror of the society. It is the result of religious, political, economic frustration and unfulfilled desires of the people living in the society.
