Veena
Veena (4 July 1926 - 14 November 2004), otherwise called Veena Kumari, genuine name Tajour Sultana, was an Indian entertainer.
Early life and foundation
Veena was brought into the world as Tajour Sultana on 4 July 1926 in Quetta, Baluchistan Organization, English India. Eventually of time, her family moved to Lahore and they lived in Lahore.
She wedded entertainer legend Al Nasir in 1947 in Junagadh and had two youngsters with him. Al Nasir was from a regal family in Bhopal and had previously been hitched, first to entertainer Meena Shorey and afterward to Manorama. The two of them cooperated in a couple of movies however their movies tumbled in the cinematic world. Al Nasir passed on in 1957 because of lockjaw.
Profession
Veena began playing courageous woman jobs in pre-segment films. She made her introduction with Garib and Gawandhi (1942) at about sixteen years old. Garib was made in Urdu and Gawandhi was made in Punjabi and coordinated by Mehboob Khan.In Garib, she assumed the part of Lata and in Gawandhi she played champion inverse Shyam, who played the legend. She became known for her jobs in pre-segment Hindi and Urdu films. Her initial a long time in films accompanied movies like Najma (1943), Phool (1945) and Humayun (1945). Her last film before the Segment of India was Rajputani (1946), in which she assumed a supporting part. She chose to stay in India after the parcel in 1947, and she acted through the mid-to-late-1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and mid 1980s. She assumed parts in large creations like Halaku (1956), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Taj Mahal (1963),Do Raaste (1969) and Pakeezah (1972). She resigned in 1983 after the arrival of Razia Ruler (1983) in which she played Sovereign Shah Turkhan.
Passing
Veena kicked the bucket in Bombay on 14 November 2004 following 21 years of retirement when she was 78 years of age subsequent to experiencing an extended sickness. She had showed up in more than 70 component films in a vocation traversing 41 years (1942 - 1983).
